In chapter 10 of Hebrews, the writer continues to contrast the old covenant with the new. He also reveals the need for a better sacrifice by pointing out the inadequacy of animal sacrifices under the Law. He then points to Christ’s sacrifice as a better sacrifice, along with some of the many benefits we have received through it.
With one sacrifice, Jesus Christ has paid our total sin debt, secured a total salvation, and has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. It is Finished!
